i like that sense of looseness on here though, if that's what you're referring to. "version", the way they let bits of their rehearsals bleed into the songs, that kind of shit. it's a nice contrast with how tightly wound stuff like repeater was. there's just a couple of subpar tracks and it doesn't slay me from start to finish the way the previous record does
