the extended-couple-syllables lil vocal melody during the noirish part of "publisher" reminds me of "hot nail boots" ("happiness is a warm gum")

nice but also the bookends are the best here by a mild distance. songwriting is ace (and deceptively ambidextrous) across the board, but both those tracks have a level of standalone clout that everything here (aside from maybe Strangeluv and Publisher) reins in and they're kinda essential to the Shape of Things as such
