I think I figured out why I love this so much and why 90% of all other death/thrash is just shit compared to this: the drumming. All of the death/thrash bands I've been looking into now have a drummer who utilizes a much more death/black metal approach...that same monotone beating over and over. Kassara doesn't, he's more of a thrash drummer.
God damn I love this album.

I know..=/ Napalm Satan is probably my favorite track on the whole album, except maybe Graveyard Witchery or Valley of Corpses. It's not too bad on itunes though. There will be a few seconds of skipping/scratching noises on those tracks, but on my ipod, most of the songs (for some reason napalm satan isnt one of them) just skip as a whole. I've had this happen to single songs in the past (name Tentative by System of a Down and Hey by The Red Hot Chili Peppers) but never has it happened to most of an album.
The same day I got Sodom-M-16 too, and while it works on itunes perfectly, it does the same thing on my ipod. I don't know what exactly happened, as I don't recall doing anything differently whilst downloading the albums...but I can say this has prevented me from listening to the albums as much as could have.
Maybe I should look for hard copies instead.

Bumped up the rating Grant. I've come to like this a lot more. I used to be bitchy about the fact that the album is repetitive in its sound.
Then I remembered it's a thrash album and it fucking works.

It really lame. On general terms, bands these days are under so much pressure to change up their sound and not make the same album twice that they'll often end up trying things they just aren't any good at. It's an unfortunate dilemma.
