Yeah it is a bit repetitive but it's still good. If they mix things up the next record could be superb.

good review, I hear there actually recording a new album. But as someone said, this band really is more for live shows, the album is filled with two-steps and breakdowns which I have no problem with, you'll love it the first time you hear it, but it gets played out real easy. Pretty much everyone I showed this CD to loved it at first, then after a few listens it got real old real fast. And alot of there tracks sound alike. Definitely made for your hardcore dancer/mosher.

It's also a bit different from there last release, 3750, that had a little more of a deathcore (if thats what you wanna call it) feel to it, the new release sounds more metalcore or for lack of a better word, moshcore. Either way it will definitely blow your face off, the front man's scream is just brutal no other way to say it. And as everyone else has noted the heavily down tuned guitars and the A Life Once Lost, Meshuggah like patterns. But one thing I really enjoyed is the drums, I love how the bass pedals are more slowed down, some people hate that, I on the other hand enjoy it.

Actually I'd like to change what I said in my last comment. I had listened to this before but I got this CD for Christmas and it's actually really great. I love it. But still a bit repetitive.

It sucks, actually. It's pretty brainless. Nothing to ponder musically.

I have this album...

It's good to listen to occasionally. Mainly Listen To "Whoa! Shut It Down" pretty much for the pinches, they make me smile.

Nothing new though, especially lyrically.

Although, what do you expect for hardcore?

Yeah, this is underrated by a lot of people. It's nothing extraordinary but it's just really well executed brutal metalcore.

i consider it a lot more hardcore than metalcore, but they do have some of the influences, theres some major two steppin goin on in thier shows, and they're all super straight edge so yeah

great effin album

I like these guys, they were the first of their kind that i had heard, and they seem to be getting copied pretty blatently lately, the emmure album i litterally thought was the acacia strain untill the singer opened his mouth, was there anyone doing this sound before AS>?

who was bleak? not being cynical i just wanna know... oh and if any of you dudes are still trying to figure out the tuning to play the songs, if they are in fact playing in G# your going to want to get a good baritone or 7 stringer to pull that off and not have it sound like butt... going that low i would imagine your intonation would have to be reset, and you'd also need to be pretty anal with your guitar tone too, thats definately not a "plug and play" tuning its probably more work than its worth!

it's nice to see some mass boys getting noticed! great band with a good sense of humor and sick shows..you don't need to sit around and meditate on the cd for hours but put a couple of their tunes into a good mix and enjoy

As far as I know, TAS is the original "jun jun jun" band but, I'll have to do some more research.
