While I like this album, I slightly agree with most of the points you make, but come on dude; their songwriting has matured and is much improved from HT and Meteora. Did you even listen to "The Little Things Give You Away"? It's in the POV of a Katrina victim and aimed toward Bush. First of all, old LP would never use political metaphors and it's executed well, too.

This got a little better for me, especially when compared to "Living Things."

Album is nostalgia, but it still takes the chode

I really, really hated the album at first when I came out 5 years ago, I give it a chance and let me tell you is not that bad, is bland ( specially compared with hybrid theory )but there worse things, I actually enjoyed songs like given up, what I done, no more sorrow and more. But the shitty ballads( valentines day, in between) and bleed it out are lame as fuck.
