it's a very good album, the organ was switched out with synths by that album IIRC, so it's a lot more smooth sounding compared to the edgy sound of this

ive read it's more or less a "poppier" version of the suicide sound, which actually sounds pretty damn appealing

yeah, they signed to ZE Records and I believe the label wanted a more commercial sound, something more dance-oriented and that led to the Vega/Rev album, which made some concessions with the new sound. However, the songs themselves aside from the sound, don't exactly scream out "commercial/club smash hit", especially with stuff like Harlem.
