When you take into consideration that Satyr was only 18 when he composed this, it becomes even more remarkable. And I boldly state; this is a better piece of Black metal than the more heralded "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss."

The first three Satyricon albums are all classics in black metal. Then they put out the god awful Rebel Extravaganza.

The problem is that I gave their new stuff a shot and it was horrendous, so I never bothered giving their old stuff a chance after that. Yeah I know, I'm a tool sometimes.
