in the fall of 2004 a good friend of mine introdused me to a new genre of music and a band that would change my life. the genre was metalcore, the band was betweent the buried an me. with the release of their second full length (the silent circus) they set the standard for what was dubbed "metalcore" or melodic. the mix of hardcore, metal, death metal and all around great musicianship with flaring guitars and bass, ridiculous drumming of mark castillo and the ever original lyrics and vox of tommy rogers. i bought the cd after hearing only two songs the day before. i listend to the cd nonstop from start to finish everyday for so long i cant even remeber. i then saw btbam at new england metal fest and was amazed. i have seen btbam 5 times in 2 years. i consider myself a huge fan. i own all 3 cds and a vynal copy of silent circus.
i love btbam

This party of four includes three grown adults and myself. The first
adult is very shy and wise enough to keep the second one from
conversation. (They're on a mission). Gender is not recognized. The
third adult is a male and talks too much. The stench of shit is in the
air...
The room storms with laughter...four turns into a hundred and the noise
is unbearable. "It's time, you are in hell, this place will kill itself
soon!"

Anyone who does't love BTBAM, most likely has AIDS and have become bitter with the world. There is no other excuse, nor viable reason.

I just bought the new special edition of this. I must say the dvd fucking blew me away. I think the live version of mordecai is even better than the recorded one. I loved this cd in the first place; the added dvd with i think 7 live videos a few music videos and an interview put this cd up to a 5 for me. The packaging is sweet as hell too, ppl check it out NOW

This band pretty much summarizes what Metal Blade is for, aside from the label's occasional death/melodic death band.

"The Need for Repetition" is such a crushing song....
If you were to read the lyrics, you'd see they're about basically killing a child molester.
