Listened to this recently, Pretty excellent album from this godspeed side-project able to conserve the maturity and humble feel of the godspeed atmosphere whilst feeling less obligated, more free as if the musicians were operating with no pressure (wich is the case) so that they could freely express their ideas into this moody LP.

Really good album, nothing like Godspeed.

Don't know how many of you know the back story with this record. The band rented a two story apartment in Montreal for two weeks and locked themselves inside along with the recording personnel until the album was completed. The sirens at the end of "Love Song for Ontario 15" are from a police car driving by in the middle of a take and they kept it in, they even credit it in the liner notes

Yeah the police car is one of the best parts

How great is Steal Compass / Drive North / Disappear? One of the saddest songs ever.
Also such a great title.

Not feeling this too much. There's an overabundance of found sounds/non musical elements, especially with that over 10 minute second track. The music that's on here is pretty good, but typically never goes anywhere or develops effectively enough. Only maybe 3 tracks actually feel like fully fleshed out songs, the rest come across as demos.

you pretty much just summed up most of the things I love about this album. Avoid the second album if you don't feel this one since it's even more abandonned
