I like U2's more rockin out stuff, I don't like their echoey, slow ballads.

yeah their rock out songs are better but i can appreciate the excellent lyrical writing on the slower ones

The songs on this album are pretty boring. Not as bad as Pop, so I guess it's a pretty decent album with a few solid songs. It's stagnant, same-old U2 though, and I'm not sure if I want them to repeat themselves constantly. It's time for another change of pace/sound, I think.

U2 for me is basically a love hate thing. I love a lot of the old stuff and I hate most of the new stuff.
At my local independant alt. rock station people were calling in threatening to boycott the station if they continued to play Vertigo, so they played whatever the other single was weeks before it was to be released. Rather funny if you ask me.

this album is one of their best, theyve added new styles to their songs, Original of the Species and Sometimes You Cant Make It On Your Own are both great songs.

I love "City of Blinding Lights" too. That's the only track I really enjoy, everything else is pretty bland. Actually "Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own" is great too.

Vertigo is pretty awesome. Picks you up. But I LOVE Miracle Drug and Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own. Seep stuff. Pretty good Cd. Some songs not so great however.
