Well it isn't really for everybody. From my experience, if people don't like this, it's because of greens vocals or the slower arrangement of the entire album.
But fuck em, this is still my favorite album by a longshot

Philadelphian alt-rockers Circa Survive push their intriguing style into the ground on their Brian McTernan produced debut LP 'Juturna'. As their teaser EP suggested, the quintet specialize in a dreamy sound which is punctuated by guitars that are heavy on effects. Meanwhile, out front, Anthony Green has a polarizing distinctive wail which is all his own. Unfortunately, the latter half lacks variation in dynamics, resulting in too many tracks sounding very similar. The talent is clearly there with Circa Survive, it's just a matter of siphoning that into something that better holds attention. Recommended Tracks: Act Appalled, In Fear and Faith & The Great Golden Baby.

'Blue Sky Noise' is easily their best imo.

their creativity as songwriters peaked here in my opinion, 'on letting go' was a horribly bland sophomore effort and they fell back onto more straightforward pop song structures with 'blue sky noise'.

Blue Sky Noise is definitely their best. The new one is very consistent, but in a same-y way that reminds me of how the songs "all sound the same" on Juturna. But I've somehow gained an appreciation for this and OLG that I never had before the two most recent albums came out.
