Third favorite behind Pet Sounds and Sunflower. I really love the lyrics on this one, the more socially aware themes were a nice change of pace. Also the title track is one of their best songs since 'Pet Sounds', only beaten by "Good Vibrations".

title track is their best song ever*

as much as I love Sunflower this trumps it, every member pulled their A-game songwriting and performance wise, and considering a few of the songs were older it's just so damn cohesive

I can agree that this feels more cohesive than 'Sunflower'. Though Student Demonstration Time does stick out quite a bit musically.

I get why people dislike Student Demonstration but honestly its a nice change of pace with some great Mike vocals

if anything Take a Load is the weak point here, get rid of that and put the two Dennis songs back and you've got an all-time best

Not saying I don't like that track, just saying it is quite a change of pace when compared to the rest of the album.
