Yeah I didn't give this album a mediocre score because it's overrated, it may be but it's simply a mediocre album. Metallica's first 4 albums were great but there's even better metal out there than those album. I digress, anyway in conclusion I justified why this is a mediocre album in my review so therefore I have the means to give it a mediocre score.

I commented it was overrated but I gave it the score it deserves because of the music it cotains.

This album seriously WAS weird. How do you go from brutal, slightly progressive and pretty musical to... this? It's like they spent all their braincells making "And Justice for All!" Makes me mad everytime I hear this one, knowing they used to be way better and of all things, ANTI mainstream. I don't get what happened to them... and I probably never will.

They were never 'brutal', just heavy.

Risk? What Megadeth album is that? Or is this something else?

Risk is the Megadeth album that everybody except me and like three other people hate. It's a rock album instead of a metal album.

Eh, after Wherever I May Roam i just turn the CD player off. So many modern CD's are just have so much filler after 5 to 6 songs.

I don't know what you all are talking about.
Personally, i think this is an excellent Cd as long as you ignore the label heavy metal at all. As a pure blood fan of AC/DC, ZZ Top, Guns N' Roses and other straightforward Hard rock bands, as someone born and raised on power chord arena rock, this is an excellent CD. sure, if you compare it to their earlier work as a metal disc, it will always come up short: their 80's work's the genre's pinnacle. But this is not anything similar to Master of Puppets, this is, instead, the best straightahead rock record of the nineties.

To bad straightforward rock tends to suck, like this album.

Eh, after Wherever I May Roam i just turn the CD player off. I consider the next 4 tracks after that song good. Are you joking? The God that Failed and My Friend of Misery (Tracks 10 and 11) are the two best tracks on the album... what's up with that?
