Heart and Crossbones is always my go-to "This is why JR Hayes is an all-time great lyricist" song but tbh there are a half dozen songs on here that are arguably even better. I mean,, Mapplethorpe Grey? Evacuating Heaven? Fuuuuck, *Pornographic Memory*???

Actually frustrating how there are just too many brilliant moments here to pick just one

Anyone listened to the remastered version of snuff film at eleven? I don’t think you could ruin a song any more

The drums are so fucked on that remaster. I need to delete it tbh.

Everything’s fucked. The vocals on the original are better than anything I could have possibly imagined. And they re-recorded them 14 years later. Like what were they thinking? Of course they’re not gunna sound right. I think the remaster of 38 counts is good though. Wisened up and kept the vocals the same from what I can tell

Yea the vocals are off and the kick drum overpowers everything in the mix. I love me some meaty kick drums but god damn they went too far with it there.

I thought they didn’t re-do the box for the remaster?

Haven't tried the remaster of this but sounds like I'll pass. Only album I can't really get into from these guys is Terrifyer but I need to give it another shot

Yeah I remember giving the remaster a listen once and it just sounds slightly... beefier? And that's about it

The original is all you need really. Remaster was cool but kinda pointless.

That's how I feel about most remasters
