"Salt, Sweat, Sugar" is one of the best jams of all-time.

A fantastic video on the background and influence of this record for those interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T4juG345x4

First listen through and loving this as well — though on first listen, I still prefer Clarity. Obviously one listen isn’t enough to form a final opinion, but this is feeling like it’ll be a 4 or 4.5. A Praise Chorus, Cautioners (early favorite) and My Sundown caught my attention most.
Just had to comment to say I can’t believe the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition weren’t on the album! Some of the best here — those songs being The Most Beautiful Things, No Sensitivity and (Splash) Turn Twist. All three so fucking good.

Tell me about it! We got Salt, Sweat, Sugar though; my favourite opener of all-time. Nothing gets the hype going like that song.

I’ve got the deluxe edition, where the opener is the t/t (Bleed American obviously). At first I was confused by people calling it Salt Sweat Sugar lol. But now I know it was because of 9/11.
Only spun this three times so far, but I’m wavering between 3.5 and 4. It’s very good, but not amazing imo like Clarity — really glad I checked Clarity first now. A hard 5.
But yeah, another spin or two before I settle on a score. That’s when I’ll see if this will start growing on me more, or stays where I’m currently at (3.5). Hyped to check out Futures next!

Nice, that's a fair take. Yeah, I got an old copy when it was a self-titled album. Glad they changed it back. For the genre it's in, this is as perfect as albums get imo and the deluxe is even better. All of their b-sides are fantastic actually.

Yeah I love the b sides (on the first disc — I haven’t listened to the second disc yet). I happened to have just re-listened to this and feel like it grew some. Cautioners and My Sundown are amazing.

Yup, that and The Most Beautiful Things are so good. (Splash) Turn Twist is good also, but the other two are particularly good.

For all the bangers on this one, which are usually why I start listening, I always end up with Your House engrained in my head. Such an utterly, utterly beautiful song.
