Oh SHIT this new version of A Shot in the Dark is AWESOME. Love these new little nuances and Jeremy "ad-libs" sprinkled throughout.
It's not a 2007 breakdown without a "MOTHERFUCKER!" or a good ol' fashioned "OH!"

gonna have to jam asap. this was easily always my fav by them, the followups still had some bangers but they just leaned a little bit too much into pop-punk for my tastes

Did not realize they kicked out Josh lol. I thought they kept him and swept it all under the rug

mixed feelings on the new mix
sometimes the added dynamics improve the sound, sometimes they float the instruments so far apart from one another they lose their punch
the abundant echo effects almost always suck and sometimes come with clipping
the alternate vocal takes/vocal production choices are 90% downgrades - show em the ropes is an abomination
additional adlibs are sometimes fun, and oftentimes annoying interjections that break flow
vocals in general seem to be mixed differently track-by-track and make it sound like they came from entirely different sessions - monument is completely ruined by this, sounds like the new blink-182 record
overall better than i thought it'd be, album of the year
