I've heard a handful of Tool songs on the radio and I've never even heard of a Dream Theater song besides Pull Me Under being on the radio so I would presume Tool is the more mainstream band.

Yeah. Tool's videos are pretty popular and you almost never see some random kud at the mall or at a show wearing a DT shirt but you do see a lot of Tool shirts.



Then again you see a lot of Slayer shirts too.

I remember 2 or 3 summers ago when I was out shopping with my fiancee I found some Van Halen and Def Leppard tour shirts for her and got super excited before she told me that random band tour t's were the summer fad. :[
