That sounds like it'd be more interesting than what she's currently doing. I think she's boring.

Great review. This album is just good and sometimes great soft pop. Forgettable though.

Overall the her new album is done well. The review definitely hit the spot on the "album becomes one long ballad." But taking into accound this is the first album that she has written the songs, its very good. Her vocal quality is getting increasingly better as she gets older (more smoke in the pipes) and the music feels more mature.

My favorite track off the album has to be "Thinkin' about you" just because its such a change from monotomy of the rest of the album with its tasteful backing vocals and warmth of a horn section.

Overall good album, definitely worth the money, but I'm looking foward to the next.

Sometimes it's good, sometimes it makes me wish I was listening to something else, like Aborted for instance. I can't stand her country-ish songs and the whisper-singing just annoys the heck out of me at times. Still miles better than the crap out there, though.
