"Good music to listen to if you're getting into punk"
Dude, when I was getting into punk, I listened to The Clash, Iggy Pop, Velvet Underground, etc., etc. Not this. Nothing like this.

you did a nice review. myself, i dont like simple plan, but its not my place to tell you what music to like. i just seriously doubt simple plan will ever make better music than the ramones. thats just absurd being as they're legends.

i m not in place to tell anyone what they should listen or not, but the other day i went to visit my uncle and i saw my 14 year old cousin dressed like avril lavagina and listening to all these "punk" (pop-punk, pop- rock or whatever they call it) bands like SP, good charlotte (by the way someone should take a s.h.i.t on these guys), and she also listens to stuff like ashlee simpson and all that crap and i can´t help but thinking they are all just the same, not to underrate their instrument skills or something but i think they offer nothing but an annoying voice and shallow lyrics.
Im not saying they suck just because they´re mainstream or popular, there are many bands that are popular for the right reasons and not because MTV makes teenagers run to spend their money buying these records. obviously i agree with all those who say this shouldnt be called punk.

Not as whiny as gc, yet almost as bad... I peronally hate all of these "oh my life is so hard" bands. They are famous, popular, rich, can lay any guy or girl they feel like that are their fans, and tehey are fake.
That is my personal opinion...

may i just say that i thought that simple plan had a pretty rocking song that i'm addicted to you but then came along that perfect song and it was a shocka he sounded like such a whiney bitch and then came along welcome to my life and that set me off what a bunch of ****s

The vocals are what destroys simple plan, if the guy actually sang instead of just whining some of the songs might not be so annoying. Perfect for example would work if they got someone who could actually sing to sing it, then made the music less repedetive, then... oh wait, actually just about everything holds this band back doesn't it?

You must be joking. Blink 182 at least have a bit of talent, and their newest album is pretty good. But that's not my problem. The RAMONES!? How dare you say something as ridiculous and ignorant as this, and compare such a crappy band as Simple Plan to a legendary band like the Ramones.

this band is marketed for the preteen audience. if you're above 15 years old and think this is "great music" or has "great lyrical content"... you need to get out more. or start reading.
I'm 13, and I think this band sucks. Hell, my favourite bands are Rush and Pink Floyd!

Simple Plan isn't even punk. They suck and are really whiney. I don't care. For being such a sucky band, they sure have a lot of people in it.

The original reviewer listed this band as "punk rock," but now it's in the "emo" category?! That's even LESS accurate, if it's even possible.
Simple Plan is pop music. Like them or not (and I do not), you have to accept that they're not "hardcore" or "edgy."

I don't even know why simple plan is on this site, they don't fit into any categories, plus, the sound that they make makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon. They barely even fit into the pop category. They suck. Period.
