Oh, yeah, talking about shoegaze are we? I will have to try it out, too. Been meaning to get further into the genre.

That Alcest record was cool, but everything started to blend together after the first couple songs.

Id probably give it a 3-3.5 if I listened to it a few more times, but I don't think I have it in me. Maybe I will come back to it in the future and see what happens.

Though I'll take Suicide By Star over almost anything on Shelter.

Hmmm... a lot of these songs have a very similar layout. It builds and builds and then just goes all crazy for a little bit, and then everything calms down and either slowly dies off or just ends.

That said, it's still all really well done.

Idc about the repetition this time around. It's all done right and the fact that Suicidr By Star accomplishes everything in less than 5 minutes is astounding

It really is amazing how much they truly fucked up with the remaster of this. The original sounds immensely better in terms of production. It's more dense and powerful, whereas the remaster just sounds so thin.

As someone who only recently got into Post-Rock, I found this album to be a great introduction to the genre. It's pretty accessible, the songs are relatively concise and it's a very satisfying listen overall IMO.
