For sure. The band learns how to write and slowly improves on it throughout their careers. The first time I heard Light Grenades I was put off by how slick it was, but on repeated listens the nuances in the songcraft shone through. It really is quite an organic and compelling evolution from SCIENCE to Light Grenades, unlike other '90s bands who got stuck in a rut once they found their (initial) sound and didn't know where to go from there.
