The guitar intro to "Into The Battle" is simply jaw dropping.

While not as good as the first album, Iron kicks my ass

Into the Battle and Sword Chant are absolutely phenomenal, and the cover of Battery is probanly the best metal cover i've ever heard. Title track and Lai Lai Hei also own but the rest lacks what the other tracks have imo. Still good enough to warrant a 4/5.

Well I do definetly think this is better than their newest album, but thats kind of unfair with Jari being a genius(as many people have already said) and all. My favorites would have to be the title track and Into Battle, I also think they handled the Battery cover very well. I can't wait to see these guys live with Amon Amarth and The Absence, should be sick! Has anyone else here seen them live?

Yes. And I disagree. I'll take Ensiferum over Wintersun any day of the week.

Not sure if I want to get into the band. They look like fags.

F you bro....It's not any wore than the typical metal image. Long hair, black shirts, spikes, that's pretty gay in itself.

This is true, but the whole 'Heroic power metal' thing. It's hard to take them seriously and I don't trust folk metal after wolfchant.

Well, at least they dont look/ or suck as much as this band of micks Cruachan. This hurst inside, as a fellow mick that a celtic metal band could be so mediocre but there's always Waylander who is slightly better, Eluveitie, and Primordial.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Ensiferum, but... they do dress up in face paint and kilts and stuff. I just saw them live and they were all shirtless ('cept for the chick) with white kilts with the Finnish flag (da blue cross) painted on it and they had white makeup with the blue cross on their faces. And they were all in like viking boots and stuff.

Face paint and kilts are awesome. I applaud any band that does it.

i think face paint and kilts are pretty gay, but this band is AWESOME!

i prefer "iron" rather than their s/t, and wintersun is really good too. The only thing about wintersun is their folk melodies arent as powerful as ensiferums.

Excellent review BTW
