@Alex: I'd have to count Jesus Saves and Altar of Sacrifice too since they're close to the three-minute mark.

Everything in the album is good but like, that first riff in Postmortem is... pretty damn good.

People tend to say how it's so book-ended, but the material in the middle is better than it's given credit for.

No doubt. It's good but it just flies by. I would've enjoyed a release with less tracks but more of them developed beyond the standard burst of energy. But I guess it makes sense that they'd embrace their punkier elements after Hell Awaits.

It's more than good enough, there's no need to make a piece longer if you already said all there was to say.

That's true, but I guess I'm just used to tracks not flying by as quickly. Truth be told I've been trying to make the stuff I write shorter but just as effective.

If you want to make short pieces and effective, listen to Webern... You probably won't like him and I don't know why do I even bother with mentioning him but everytime someone talks about short music I remember Webern... Or just listen to some of the short Converge stuff, idk.
