wakeupdead is the man for writing a positive review. i love this album and every other trivium album. theyre very misunderstood by many on this site as just being a metallica copycat or having terrible vocals and terrible songwriting, when none of that is true. yeah theyre songwriting can be too influenced at times but theyre maturing and are very talented. im not trying to say that theyre stupid, but this album shouldnt be called "terrible" by anybody

This album is terrible. Althought Unrepentant, Tread The floods, To the rats (if you ignore the cringe-worthy chorus), the head-bangable bit and the tapping bit in the Crusade and Contamination Breeds Contempt are quite fantastic.

im not going to try and prove to you why you should like them, cuz that would be like somebody trying to get me to like fall out boy, just aint going to happen. i didnt really mean that the criticisms that the album gets are all completely false. theyre evident here and there. you can agree with me that there a few comments that just say "they rip off metallica so they suck." sometimes i will read "they have some awesome solos, catchy riffs and i like 4 or 5 of the songs" but then they give a 1 or 1.5 rating. i dont know what im trying to prove but its just something that bothers me.
my one comment was rather noobish, my bad. everybody has a right to hate this album, i just love it so much. aiight, good stuff

hey it just occured to me......they could have kept being a metalcore band......all they hasd to do was get Corey to do te screaming parts and Matt could do the singing parts. But that would mean that Corey is the new frontman, but at least they wouldnt be accused of selling out. I dunno maybe thats sort of a dumb idea. :lol:
