It doesn't take talent to scream into a microphone, add effects, and play a random guitar riff
Yes it does.

Oh god alert the media someone likes girly vocals and my review didn't praise girly vocals.

TSOAF sucks. Plain and simple, not even vocally, its terribly boring stuff. It is in no way new, interesting, or even well done. And to be honest, Chiodos really isnt that talented. They play the same riffs over and over and over again. I could write one technical riff and play it 12 times, but that wouldnt make me talented.

And if you think screaming takes no talent, you are dreadfully wrong. The kind of screaming that Converge and CTTS do is not only extremely hard to pull off and sound unique at (as they are some of the most unique screamers out there), its also quite dangerous because without proper technique (yes they have technique too) they can severely injure themselves.

But the thing is, which I mentioned in my review, its not just that hes got an annoying voice, he cant even carry out a note. His voice cracks and waivers everywhere.

Whatever though, the fact that I've spent this much time defending my opinion to someone who calls circle takes the square and Converge "random guitar chords" is sort of sad, so I'll stop here and just ask that you respect the well known fact that Converge and CTTS are infinitely better musicians than chiodos.

Wow. This is the worst review I think I've ever read. To start with, whoever likes SOAF but doesn't like Chiodos doesn't know what the hell they are talking about, because Craig Owens sings in SOAF too . . . Yeah and about Chiodos, this whole review is crap. Whoever wrote it just wanted to sound smart because Chiodos is the best band, hands down. They've got an amazing singer, guitarist, pianist, and drums so everyone just shut up. I think that settles it.

Haha canyoneer, you said fanboys!! Good word choice!! But anyways, yeah I completely disagree with your opinion . . . and anti means against . . . so they are the against best band ever?? Learn to speak English. And you also used the word dumb, which automatically shows that you do indeed like men.

And lol @ your face. You're kind of a homo.

Something doesn't add up with your username and that statement.

yeah that statement was kind of retarded, then again this whole argument is kind of retarded also. therefore it should stop. this record is incoherent and isn't worth as many words as I am typing right now.

Lest we forget, you are the one listening to Chiodos and probably hardcore dancing while wearing your eleven year old sisters pants. :thumb:

No Hardcore Dancing in the Living Room has such sloppy transitions. It starts out all smooth and chill. Then after 1 minute and so the guitar comes in and then it's like chugga chugga chugga with terrible singing with broken piano chords in the background, then it becomes calm. After that it goes even more to the crapper with the chugga chugga. then a stop. then it gets poppy?? what? then hardcore part with a big breakdown at the end??

how can you combine that in a song and think it's going to sound good?

I don't like the song, just the title. The title is brutally kickass.

beyond the fact that you think craig owens has a terrible voice (which i think many people would disagree), you havent given a good reason for rating this band so poorly.

for one thing, they are very original. i highly doubt you can name another band that mixes the same elements like they do. as for the instruments, all you can say is that it "becomes quite irritating". oh? maybe if they were poorly performed or produced, i could agree, but anyone can say something is "irritating" just because its not their personal preference.

but i understand. any time a band takes an "underground" musical genre and adds "pop" to it, people will automatically hate it, even if its original and quite good.

because his point is certainly stupid and idiotic.
And this is coming from someone who likes this album at times.
