I guess it's insanely expensive to see these guys live now?

well. not crazy expensive. but they play the biggest venues so if you want to get up close its $$$$
|
| |
The price along with tickets selling out in seconds is what prevented me from seeing them yeah

I recognise most of those songs by name despite only being into these guys for a month or 2, I reckon that's a good sign.

PtA is a modern classic. Beastly album. I am surprised you like it so much Demo, dunno why

Because it’s very ‘pop’ perhaps? I have the power to surprise occasionally I guess. Love it when these guys get dark, which is quite often fortunately.
|

Yeah these guys can get pitch black sometimes. PtA is no exception. It's mastered really fuckin loudly, but I've grown accustomed to the distortion.

precious is such a classic DM tune

Same, used to jam it all the time on the bus after high school. One of my favs from the band prolly.

PTA is great, but nothing too much approaching 'dark', IMO. BC or MFTM are far superior in that regard. Closest PTA gets is The Darkest Star and Nothing's Impossible (criminally underrated Dave song).

It's just truly astonishing how good this album is, how layered the production is, how dark it is, how wildly creative it is. One of only a handful of albums I can legit say I play from beginning to end without skipping one moment. Always reminds me of my dad, he loved this album, when he passed a copy of it was one of his few possessions I was able to salvage/save.
