I think it's gotten worse at my school with every year a new a set of freshmen bringing in their 'cool new fads' of music. First it was Atreyu, HH, Green Day wannabes, and MCR, and now it's progressing into the likes of mallcore, New Found Glory, and, of course, the "OMG I listen to Cradle Of Filth, I'm more hxc then anyone else cause I'm tr00 black metal"
I can't wait till I graduate this year.

They lost a good bit with Thornography around here, but they gained a whole lot more with it. IMO their new fans are even dumber.
As for As Blood Runs Black, they are one of the lesser known bands around where I live. At my school Tool is considered an underground band. It's sad.

Well, I just graduated high school this year, but there are two different types of scene kids at most high schools. There are the kind that only listen to pop punk and there are the kind who listen to metalcore and death metal/metalcore (avoided that term that everyone hates) bands like this. Both kinds of scene kids are equally annoying and they always think they know everything about music and think that you're stupid for not listening to All Shall Perish, Job For a Cowboy, and Atreyu.
