It may not be anything groundbreaking, but this album is far from boring. The breakdowns are brutal, the riffs are excellent, and the drumming is out of this world. They're also incredible live.

I never get bored of this album. I will agree it's not a fantastic album and isn't being altogether original, i think it deserves more than a 2.5. 3 at least. Oh and they have two guitarists, not one. That should have been obvious, what with all the harmonized guitar riffs going on.

O, first i have to say As Blood runs Black is one of my favourite bands, i mean the songs in this album are just full of energy, they're fast, i love it. but i do realize they pretty much use the same structure of riffs over and over again. Since i play guitar it shows that they just come up with a riff and "explore" until they change to a new one. Favourite tracks are Legends Never Die,My Fears have become phobias and the brighter side of suffering. And i dislike the instrumental song, the clean one not the intro

all of these guys are immensely talented at their instruments, they just need more musical maturity. if they put as much effort in to creativity as they do into playing as fast or insanely difficult as possible, they could be a great band.
