um, I am a Nightwish fan? I love this band, and it has some of the best things in metal for me.

Meelk, you should get the fuck out of here. This album is AWESOME. It's their best AND most successful album for a reason. Stop being an idiot who thinks women can't sing metal, cause, you know what? They can! This masterpiece has very few flaws. It is excellent. If you don't like it, then fine. You're entitled to your opinion, but WE DO NOT want to hear them here. YOU don't like the band, WE do. *I* do.

I don't agree with this being their best album, but it's excellent, and meelk should gtfo and stop ruining my thread. >(

with the absolutely boring Native American Chant at the end as the absolute lowpoint(yay, words spoken in a language nobody can understand!), fool!

Poet and the Pendulum pwns Ghost Love Score. It is FAR better than that song. Don't get me wrong, Ghost Love Score is still my second favorite song, but Poet and the Pendulum just flat out destroys it.

I enjoy this album more with every listen. I'm anticipating a new album after hearing this. Then I remember Tarja's gone. F*ck.

My second favorite Nightwish album, and from the looks of their future, it will probably stay that way.

Oh, yes she is. I'm pretty surprised they decided to go with someone with a somewhat mediocre, poppish voice.

She has no power in her voice like Tarja, for god sakes she's a pop rock singer. It dosent fit with the music. Its not as bad as im makin it out to be but still, I'd rather have an over confident and greedy singer who has the right voice.

Damn straight. Tarja's a diva (and for good reason). This chick, on the other hand...

I would protest the release of this cd, however thats a bit impossible to do since it's already out. I'll buy this though cause it's Nightwish, musically sound from what i've heard. Vocals are good just too soft to fit in.

i'm starting to really get into this band. i never really liked them and thought they were kind of boring. now after seeing one of their albums on all of Balls's lists i thought i'd give them a second cahnce. so far i have listened to this and Oceanborn, both i give a 4 but this one i like a bit more. i'm thinking of making a list that has all the bands and their albums that i hated at first but now really like

Having trouble with this album. It pretty solid, Ghost Love Score owns, just can't see all the rave around it. Maybe I'll just let this grow as this was the last disk I ehard from them.

It'll definitely grow on you Balls. When I first got it, I didn't understand the reasoning behind Ghost Love Score, The Siren, or Dead Gardens. Now having it for over two years now, those are 3 of my favorite songs on here and Ghost Love Score is my 2nd favorite song that they've ever done.

Great review, great album. Ghost Love Score is probably my favourite song off of this. Theres so much emotion in it. Same goes for The Siren. I totally agree that Targa's vocals during the chorus are pretty damn sexy.

Dark Chest of Wonders is the greatest song under 10 minutes that they have ever done.
