Damn, im really impressed with this album. I may like it even more than the Gallery! This has a higher replay value, plus Hedon and Insanity's Crescendo are DT's best songs (other than Lost to Apathy, which I still think is my favorite from them)
I may have a new favorite DT album. If i consider this my favorite, this woud be my order from favorite album to least favorite for DT:
The Mind's I
The Gallery
Fiction (these first three are ncredibly close)
Character (only because of the filler near the end)
Damage Done (still awesome, these first 5 albums could pretty much go any way, like character, has some filler tracks, and not really enough real highlights other than white noise/black silence)
Projector
Haven
The first 5 albums there I all have rated 4.5, i really can't bring myself to rate them any lower they're so goddamn good.
All I need now is Skydancer/Of Chaos and Eternal night.

I hadn't listened to this album in years, but I couldn't remember being too impressed by it. After reading all the praise here, I bought the CD again... I'm sorry to say that it's still as boring as I remember... even the two songs I remember being real good aren't as good as I remember (Hedon and Insanity's Crescendo)... had to lower my score.This Message Edited On 11.29.07

It really is bad (to me)... most of the melodies are boring, and a lot of the songs have the same basic structure. It seems like they were trying to make their own version of "Slaughter of the Soul" by stripping down to just the basics... and it didn't work out.
I don't think this album surpasses any other DT album.
