IDK if its better The Bleeding. Blows every other Barnes-era album out of the water tho.

The Bleeding was drastic change and so was this album. Cannibal Corpse got much more technical with this album. Jack and Rob were the best guitar team for Cannibal Corpse. They did 2 awesome albums back to back. This album has complex riffs and the best solos out of anything in their catalog.

The drumming by Paul is the best he has done on any Cannibal Corpse release. He may not be the best drummer in Death Metal, but there is some good double bass work and fills on this album.

Awesome bass work as usual by Alex Webster.

Corpsegrinder's vocals are the finishing touch to this album. He keeps up with the music better than Barnes and his screams are the perfect fit.

Hard to make a top 3 for this album. My personal favorite is the final track Monolith.

Everything released after Vile has been average Death Metal, with the exception of Bloodthirst.

The second half from 'Relentless Beating' onward is the stuff that does it for me. The first half is not that great.

'Monolith' is the best on the album, its not possible to not head bang or at least move some part of your body at 1:20 in that song.
