I'm still on the title track, but I see what you mean about the bleak sound.

In terms of the actual review, it was stellar. It was incredibly written, and could stand up to most professional reviews I've read.

"The problems range from total robotic hostile takeover of the planet to Thom bitching about doors and plates and other major household items."

Made me LOL.

Great review--although I think I enjoy the album a little more than a 3.

I've heard the title track and Black Swan and liked them, so I may pick this up.

Not Radiohead, but I feel almost guilty for liking it.

"Black Swan" and "The Eraser" are my favorite songs off this album.

I quite like it - taken on its own, these songs are just so different from the norm that it's hard not to like. Thom definitely does find melody in odd places.

analyze and the title track are the best. album dips like a bitch in the middle, but is generally awesome at the beginning and end.

What songs don't you like? The middle is Skip Divided, Atoms for Peace, and Black Swan, all fantastic tracks in my opinion.

they're the worst tracks imo. black swan doesn't seem to go anywhere and atoms for peace is boring. skip divided is probably the second worst song thom yorke's ever written. first 2 tracks and last 2 tracks are great, the other ones are good.

edit: not saying black swan and atoms for peace are particularly bad songs though.
