The drunken stumble through the woods while Garm's kid-sister plays on the casio will always keep it from making it that high
Used to hate that as well, but it stopped bothering me after like 50 or 60 listens.

I just skip to the next song when that part starts, which is kind of a shame because I sort of remember the ending being pretty good, but it's not worth the wait.

This has been on the verge of a 5 so many times, but never quite makes it.

Alright I lied when I said nothing would ever pass Nattens Madrigal as my favorite black metal album ever because this just did. This Message Edited On 01.28.09

I used to. Now I just think this is much easier to listen to. Nattens Madrigal is still classic though. As of right now this barely beats it.

so now why is this better to you?
|

Because Nattens Madrigal is easily the worst Ulver full length.

lol I'd give that to Kveldssanger

Meh, Kveldssanger is at least soothing, Nattens just makes me want to listen to a different Ulver album.

I just find it easier to listen to now. I'm not going to complain about the production on Nattens Madrigal because I've always said that its perfect, and I still think it is. But now whenever I want to listen to Ulver I always turn to this first and Nattens Madrigal second.

When will everyone learn that the electronic albums slay the trilogie?

Never.

This trilogy pretty much kicks @ss, I doubt it can be beaten. Haven't checked their electronic stuff, but I know that Ulver's trilogy is one of the most awesome there are. Also, that reminds me I have to rate Klevs.... however the hell it is spelled.

Yeah I haven't heard that one yet, but none of the electronic albums beat this or Nattens Madrigal. Shadows of the Sun, Blood Inside, and Perdition City are all very good though.

Kveldssanger is soothing if you're in the right mood, but otherwise it comes off as pretty boring.
