Been on a FNM kick lately, and I've been trying to give them all equal rotation, but this is the album that I keep coming back to again and again. Not just the music, but Mike's vocals are just amazing and this is their most consistent album, and it's the last FNM album that could really be considered "metal" in any way. Both the guitar and (especially) the bass are just great on this, and very Toolish; before Tool became a household name.
There's also a lot of vocal phrasing (and choruses) in the style that Layne Staley and co used on Dirt. And hey, AIC did say that FNM was one of their favorite bands...
