I'm always more hyped for Stephen Carpenter driven Deftones over Chino driven, the former I feel provides a better yin to the yang in terms of their sound.

I consider Adrenaline and Around the Fur primarily Carpenter driven and Gore primarily Chino driven. I feel they are at their best when both are in harmony, but I prefer that harmony to be more Carpenter-leaning versus Chino-leaning because I think their sound benefits more from Carpenter's guitars versus Chino's influences.
