^ Math Metal is the same thing as Grind. It's kind of like a alternate term to describe the grind genre. Also wikipedia is built up by opinions. This Message Edited On 03.29.07

slep is right. All Math is, is technical grind. So it is Math which is a sub-genre of grind. SO IT IS GRIND.

I don't see how, listening to this album, you (syonyde) find any similarities to the fall of troy. The fall of troys instrumentation is characteristic of pull offs and hammer ons and could probably be related to a band like hot cross. The guitar on this album is a lot more straightforward grindy metal. A lot more chaotic than the fall of troy. Also the screaming is in no way reminiscent of tfot, i dont see where u made that conclusion from.

Tfot and tntllu are pretty close as bands though, i believe. The were supposed to do a split a while ago.

this really isn't grind, is it? it's more like a Metalcore/Grind hybrid

its more like just chaotic metal. wouldn't call it metal core. it isnt exactly grind just because of the vocals, and the guitars really do have structure. i guess math metal?

grandfather is weird but it sounds so tight, i can definitely sense progression, even vocally.
