thats probably WHY they were giving them out, cause what are you gonna do with leftover cartoons?

I remember going down to this little rental store, theyd give you FREE popcorn bags so you could eat popcorn while browsing their selection.

this is generally regarded the best SP album isn't it? i want the instrumentation of this without corgan's whiny vocals. dude gets on my nerves.

it's about equal between this and Siamese Dream, at least in terms of "public concensus" or whatever

I think this initially sold more than SD but i could be wrong

Siamese Dreams critical acclaim mostly seems to be "yea we know thar double apbum wss pretty cool but THIS is more cool and and it has a million guitar tracks plus its BUTCH VIG producing remember butt twig guys? he was a production master!"

or that they're two completely different albums and some people genuinely gravitate toward the cleaner production and more concise focus of SD than they do a sprawling double-album that takes corgan's indulgences to the max

For all the relatively average stuff (sprinkled with a few gems it must be said) that Corgan has put out recently, I'll cut him some slack given how many great songs he wrote during the SD-Mellon Collie era (include Gish if you want). 28 songs on this big bitch, many of them completely different from others but all sounding brilliant (imo). Dude was literally on fire for a 3-4 year period.

their entire first run was great to me, from Gish to Machina

it wasn't until Zwan that Corgan started to lose me

I've heard Pisces Iscariot a couple times too, not for a long time though so I should revisit that whenever I get to other Pumpkins stuff.
