I remember some kid in my high school ordered this from Spinefarm and brought it into school when it was released and we all marveled at it and took turns looking at the CD, booklet, case, etc. That night he burned everyone a copy, and it spun in my car's CD player for the next 2 weeks straight. Core memories.

i probably listened to this a few times like 20 years ago but don't remember anything. back then it was a jump from nightwish and blind guardian and this was probably just a bit too much for me.

They continued to refine and tighten their songwriting on this coming from Hatebreeder but these two albums are quite similar. I feel like they toned down the folk and power metal elements a smidge on this and went for a more metallic sound.
