Very good album. In my opinion, there is no weak track. It's kind of odd how "Oil and Water" and "Diamonds and Coal" are my favorite tracks off of it, though, lol...
Every song is great in its own right. If there is one big critique, it's that there wasn't a "wow" factor. Some might say "Anna-Molly" is, and while it's a good choice for a single, it didn't just overwhelm me like "Megalomaniac", "Talk Shows on Mute", "Wish You Were Here", "Are You In?", or "Drive" did.
Light Grenades has all great songs, but no awesome songs. Nonetheless, I am still listening to many of them on repeat.

I dislike their new single.

Then apparently you have some sort of disability.

Brandon is the man! Anna Molly is a rocking song! Love this one.

Good point, SilverSunRapure.
Even it's singles are weaksauce comparitively, just the like the album as a whole IMO.
I think Boyd forgot how to write lyrics above a 3rd grade reading level. Remember songs like Glass or Circles? He was in his right mind then.
We just have to accept that there will never be another "Drive," or a "Megalomaniac" to knock the masses on their asses.
And give it up, "old school" fans. The influences of SCIENCE are never coming back. I miss it too.

This is a good album, but I was a little disappointed when i first listened to it. The bass seems to take a back seat on this one, being reduced to back-up the guitar which, IMO, is not Incubus' style.

maybe the best review I've read here.
but. this isn't their sixth album. it's their fifth. Fungus Amoungus isn't an album. it's a compilation.

fungus is an album, not worth arguing.

I don't really like this album, ACLTM wasn't great either. There are a handful of great songs, like Pendulous Threads, Rogues, and Anna Molly, but the majority of the album is just okay. SCIENCE is definately their best imo.

Incubus really didn't do it for me in this album, at all. I was bored and ended up switching cds half way through

I haven't heard all of this album. But with this review I'll have to revisit. However Rogues, Anna Molly, and A kiss to sends us off made it to my playlist. I couldn't get into any of the other ones I heard. Maybe not my style. However Rogues is excellent can't be live so little mention it.

How come Japan gets the B-side songs? They're pretty alright. Could've helped the album :/

Eh, this lost it's appeal for me after a while. Some solid tracks, such as Paper Shoes, Rogues, and Anna Molly, but just not up to par with any of there other stuff. This one doesn't even have an atmosphere to it, unlike ACLOTM which at least had the melancholy vibe. Still solid work, but probably their weakest. Sick Sad Little World keeps ACLOTM just above Light Grenades in my book

Incubus are alright as is this cd.

I really like incubus but this album really, really, blows. Seems as if no effort was put in. Anna Molly was the only great song, and A Kiss To Send Us Off the only good one.

Nothing really great about this, boring at times and nothing really standsout.
