I haven't commented in awhile, but this deserves one. How in the hell could you even possibly knock the bass guitar playing and say that the bass is overshadowed by the rest of the music even at times???? Do you even listen to power metal? For the bass guitar, this is by far the best power metal album in terms of originality, spotlight, and tone. Power metal is-sadly usually and unreasonably-a genre that the bass is very subordinate in. This album makes it seem like power metal should be a hub for technical and catchy bass guitar playing. That is coming from a bass player of 10 years whose favorite genre is progressive power metal.

I wouldn't really call this one original but it executes many aspects of the genre it's in so well that it has aged remarkably and is still a fantastic listen.
