Desolation Row is probably the greatest song ever written.

Too many all time classics written by the bloke, If I had to pick a fave I’ll be honest and go with Subterranean Homesick Blues.

That's a great one of course though it's never quite been a personal favorite of mine - lyrics are classic but the rapid delivery isn't the most enjoyable to listen to imo. An iconic song nonetheless just not one I choose to listen to a whole ton.

I need to get around to listening to more Dylan albums, I've got most of the classic songs under my belt but I've rarely sat down for the whole album experiences. This is by far the one I've listened to most, not a weak spot on it.

Blonde on Blonde is the one that always sits top for me because of ridiculous nostalgia factor. I spun it all the time when I was at uni and absolutely adore it but my fave is prob bringing it all back home

Blonde is great of course though it's one of the ones I need to revisit, songs like Just Like a Woman, Sad-Eyed Lady, Rainy Day Women and Visions of Johanna are as great as they come though.

Indeed and for me Obviously 5 Believers is one of the most underrated songs of all time.

When your mother sends back all your invitations

And your father, to your sister he explains

That you're tired of yourself and all of your creations

Won't you come see me, Queen Jane

not much else to say about Dylan, the coolest cat ever

I too spent much of my college years contemplating his lyrics

he actually came to my college when I was there. It was Halloween just before Bush the 2nd was reelected, he played Masters of War, the place went nuts

@wham49

Don’t be sorry, someone had to haha I just love that line tho, and the way he says it

Also love “if you’re lookin to get silly, you better go back to from where you came
Because the cops don’t need you and man they expect the same!”

Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues and Desolation Row is probably the best back-to-back set of songs I've ever heard. Amazing.

It's All Over Now, Baby Blue... Now that's a classic tune I haven't heard in a while, need to give it a listen soon.

‘65 in particular seemed to be just an incredibly bright and lasting moment of inspiration for Dylan, I can’t think of another moment that compares really, at least in the way of this kind of traditional folk-rock. Two undisputed classics in the same year, that’s just crazy
