Some Girls is easily a top 10 Smiths track instrumentally imo. Lyrics aren't great but I love the vocals.

It’s funny to compare this to Disintegration, given the beef bw Morrissey and Robert Smith few years back. But yeah, Disintegration >

gonna be doing the whole art / artist thing so erm yeah obviously Robert Smith > Morrisey, as a person
but also this > Disintegration
|

DISINTEGRATION is a phenomenal album. The Cure's best. The pinnacle of gothic rock and cornerstone of the eighties.
This is better, though.

yeah, that wasn't meant as a criticism as I enjoy both. I am yet to promote any of either band's material into the stratosphere of greatness, but this is pending / closest (just sorting through the competition)
|

I'd reckon The Smiths have at least two albums greater than DISINTEGRATION, which is no small feat by any means.

Morrissey’s political opinions are his redeeming feature right now.
The Overton window was so far to the left at the time of the Manchester Arena bombing people did the whole Sadiq Khan thing of ‘it’s a big old world, you are going to get these things, let’s take it on the chin’ and it was moved on from unbelievably quickly.
He’s right on that at least, hopefully he releases the song about it.
