The takes really did a 180 throughout this page of comments lol. Will listen out of years of loyalty with very low expectations. Much more excited for the royal coda release.

EDIT: obviously talking about the previous page of comments, yall are talking rapid fire

Definitely have more hype for Royal Coda, for any of the sideprojects at this point, 'cause they may have spawned a ton and caused oversaturation, all of them sound more interesting than what DGD is doing right now.

Yeah I made it about halfway through JJ and couldn’t continue. It’s just so painfully by the numbers Tilian DGD. Will seems like he’s been on autopilot the last 3 albums.

It sure is one of the DGD albums of all time. Why would anyone listen to this when AS2.0 and Mothership exist (for a Tilian fix)?

the sound on JJ gives me Mothership vibes, it just doesn't have quite as many awesome moments and plods along a bit more. for DGD pumping out DGD tunes I think it's a solid offering

The only people who like new DGD are twitter users with strawberry emojis in their name and @___withhumanhair as their handle.

the comments under the latest single on youtube were baffling. people praising how technical the guitarwork between will and andrew are.

it literally sounds like the exact same twiddly dee nonsense theyve been doing forever??

No amount of same sounding guitar wizardry is going to make JJ a good album.

yeah diehard DGD fans have an annoying way of making this band their whole personality. I'm also always shocked how fast they sell out some of their super whack merch lol

Never read DGD YouTube/twitter comments, all they consist of is blind Tilian defenders and normies who put the band on such a pedestal that they believe it’s the best band of all time. We got dudes im the comments saying Afterburner was their peak.

I’ll forever stand by Will being the downfall of this band and not Tilian. Only so many vocals you can come up with to fit over the same 4 riffs.

Late Nights In Jail to the end has cool shit going on. it's still DGD, no getting around that, but some of it is really good DGD. Swallowed By Eternity and Current Events are especially great.

so yeah, i recommend finishing this if you haven't and tbh not hearing it all in one sitting is probs for the better

I find it hilarious how there's a song called "Long Nights in Jail" on the new one

i'd say there's a tracklist in JJ that's def better than AB/ArSe but in its current state it's bogged down by the length and the fact that it is just another DGD album. probs gonna settle on a 3.5 again

It has its highlights but tbh I'm probably barely gonna listen to it. Band is ruined for me sadly.

Will & Andrew (Zach and Martin too I believe?) did kill it on this new record though, whereas the riffs on Afterburner are mostly a snooze-fest.
