Why should we care, though? It's up to you to decide what to listen to...

Avoid the best Maiden album if you like lol

Everyone saying Piece of Mind is weak is nuts. It's my second favorite Maiden 80s album behind Seventh Son. It's far more consistent than the albums before and immediately after it. Compared to NotB, eg, it lacks the uber-hits, but it also lacks forgettable filler like Invaders and Gangland. Powerslave has a similar problem where it has a killer opening/closing 2 tracks, but the entire middle is filler. Even PoM's weakest tracks--Quest for Fire, Sun and Steel--are still really solid. Still, this is picking nits because these are all 4.5-5.0 albums.

My vote for weakest 80s Maiden is probably Killers. Generally prefer the Dickinson era stuff anyway.

Every Iron Maiden album from the 80's suffer from minor inconsistencies. None is a perfect 5, tbqh.

True. That makes them hard to rank, too. Killers would also be my least favourite of the era.

You really don't have to. It's all for the sake of discussion.

Ohh, and don't you worry. I do avoid their weakest albums such as this. Why bother when they have so many superior albums to choose from.

Can't remember much, tbqh. Definitely need to jam again. What i do remember is how i disliked the way they utilize the synths, plus some of the songs were quite forgettable.

The synths are the reason i put this one above all the others, tbh :D

Use of the synths are arguably better on Seventh (tho I think its equal), but seventh has more tracks that im not as into (such as Infinite Dreams and The Prophecy). This is consistent quality from front to back, to my ears.

This album experiments with guitar synths where 7th Son uses a keyboard
