I think the older I grow the more I will appreciate this album, honestly. Might even love it more than Illinois. I'm in my mid 20s and this has already changed many of my perspectives, especially how I view family and close friends.

by decade do we mean literally 10 years or since 2000?

if we're talking about 2000 then I think I have like 4 albums that are 4.5's since then

I forgive you, mother, I can hear you

And I long to be near you

But every road leads to an end

Yes, every road leads to an end

"Dude, ALA, you like sad shit, yeah? This fucker can ruin a good day."

I don't have any good days : /

and indie sad shit is a bit harder for me to get into, that mellow shit,

Man, I don't know. I sat down home alone at 10PM the day this came out, poured a few fingers of bourbon and put this on and it just fucked my shit up haha. It didn't leave me feeling bad about my life or anything, I could just feel everything he had to say in the marrow of my bones and that's impressive.

Is this less grandiose than Illinoise? Feel like I could actually go for a more condense and mellow experience rn actually
