sometimes I think this is the only IDM I actually care about. The replay-ability of BoC's discog is insane, just never gets old (particularly this and Geo)
P.S. my mind is currently blown because I literally just found out Mezzanine came out on the same day as this

Sixtyten is definitely one of my faves here
mostly teaches them random numbers with a modest selection of counting sequences though, I mean the title itself isn't even a real number, no wonder the education system has gone to shit if this is what they're using.

Having a little anniversary listen to this I was thinking about how the really special thing about this and Geo is how they manage to create an atmosphere that is simultaneously hopeful and uplifting / terrifying and bleak in equal measures. And then I realized that that’s probably why campfire and tomorrows harvest are worse, as campfire disproportionately does the former and harvest disproportionately does the latter.

That’s just how the French say seventy
Also you are confusing sixtyten with Aquarius

I totally agree with that whole statement, altho after years of time with all of their albums, I have to admit harvest has grown on me. It’s definitely nothing compared to Geo and this, but there are a handful of tracks I’d put in a best of playlist, and it does nail its atmosphere pretty well.

I was bummed when harvest came out because I naively thought it should sound like geo. glad I stuck with it though because it's in my top 2 fav BoC

Yeah there’s some tracks I’d also put in a best of Boc playlist and it’s not that I dislike it at all but it just still isn’t on the same level as the rest of their discog for me
Maybe it’s about time for another go

I feel the same but I don’t listen to Geo compared to the latter two. Album’s a classic but I don’t see myself gravitating to some of the shorter bits these days

There's really nothing between this and Geo, they hit different spots but they hit their respective spot very hard
