Thom really does sing his heart out on this one and that's what really makes it.

Yorke sings his heart out but still sounds like a depressive wreck and it never gets close to histrionic bs

Bellamy would drag this into amateur opera singer hobbyist territory yikes

If I were to rate albums based solely on nostalgia this would be a contender for my favorite of all time. One of the most enduring albums in my library, got into it at least a decade ago (which, for me, is half of my life) after my dad introduced it to me. This is his favorite Radiohead album. Can't say I blame him.

Where are you noooo-o-o-ooow, when I neeeeeeeed yooooouuuu?

Yorke has this magic quality to his voice here - I enjoy this as a vocal showcase way more than 'Grace', but I do primarily regard this as a 'great singing' album. Song writing is tight but it's the Thommy Knocker what sells it

I've never really gotten into Jeff Buckley, I've only spun Grace a few times though.

It's worth your time and deserves the hype but Yorke connects deeper

Someday I'll revisit Grace and give it the proper attention.

If Jeff went on to record a series of albums more creative and ambitious than Grace maybe I'd view it as less remarkable than I do

but in this here timeline, Bends is eclipsed by what came after and Grace is not

Grace is a great album and the title track has some of the greatest vocal work I've ever heard but I like Sweetheart much more

Micro Cuts is Godly, he's got insane range
