It has been done. What are some of y’all’s favorite Enslaved songs? I’ve been really digging Fenris, Thoughts Like Hammers, Night Sight, Bounded by Allegiance, Caravans, and Roots of the Mountain lately

fav enslaved songs? thats a difficult task, i think every single album has at least one 10/10 song for me.

In release order (1 each album):

Midgards Eldar

Fenris

For Lenge Siden

Ansuz Astral

Ormgard

The Cromlech Gate

The Dead Stare

Neogenesis

Entroper

Center

Lightening

Roots of the Mountain

Building with Fire

The River's Mouth

Urjotun

Congelia

man going through their discography again to collect these songs just makes me appreciate once more how vast and amazing it truly is.

Path to Vanir and Havenless are my 1A and 1B when it comes to Enslaved songs but I couldn't even begin to rank after that. Way too fucking hard lol.

You'll get many many different answers to that question hehehe.

Isa and this one probably, to get a taste of their most clearly recognisable sound. Then move backwards if you want less prog/more transition stuff, and forwards if you want more in this vein.

Right back at you! 🌞

I'm always shocked by how little I enjoy this one. But it's still true. It's too homogenous and flat, everything has lost punch and dynamism and energy somehow.

To me, Mardraum-Monumension-Below The Lights-Isa is where they peaked, with the four that came before and the one that came after being very cool too.

You’re recommending this one but you gave it a 2?

Do you want me to have a bad time? Lmao

Haha it seems that way oooops. But I don't, this is widely seen as one of their best. Ryus and me are representing a very small minority.

Isa to me is in 5.0 territory. So I guess what I was saying is: check Isa and this one; if you (like me) prefer Isa, go back in time, but if you prefer this one, go forward chronologically.

And if you like both: rejoice! Most people would say they're very consistent.
