@Pika yeah I get you. I think Djent is a good descriptor because "progressive" as a genre is so large. That goes for rock as well as metal. Lumping bands like TesseracT and Monuments into the same genre as Dream Theater and Haken make sense but is also kind of bizarre because the bands really don't have a whole lot of crossover (imo). So although "djent" started as a meme it does kind of help discern the difference in sound between the two.
