There are some "catchy" tracks here for sure. Like Earthly Love, dat song is one of my wake up songs instead of coffee.

Yeah Nostalgia was the first track on here that really clicked with me, then the rest quickly followed.

Same. The first time I listened to this, every song was just a congeal of LAISDJGNAINSUDJGASDJGASDGLASLDGABSKHJDG m/ m/ m/ madness and then "Nostalgia" started and it was like I could see everything. And the song ended and the LIUABGLIASDUGIASJDGNASD returned.

I dunno, I think the "melodies" and rhythms are pretty apparent, if kind of off-putting on first listen. If there's an album that truly baffled me on first listen though, it'd be Crimson Massacre's The Luster of Pandemonium.

I cant wrap my head around drumming on this album. I mean, I am kinda used to such guitars, but the drumming here is really chaotic, but for some reason it's really "structured" chaos, you know? It's like a photon, its a particle and a wave at the same time.

Jester, I wouldn't disagree with that but I still found it pretty difficult to come away with a sense of structure and how the album fits together. There's so much going on within individual songs that the string is a bit hard to follow from start to finish at first.

Agree on the drumming, perfectly suited and perfectly balanced between technicality and fitting the music. The whole album has that "structured chaos" feeling though, to me.

Spacesh1p I know what you mean, it's definitely not an easy first listen by normal standards or even death metal standards. You should check that Crimson Massacre album though, it's comparable to Obscura as far as how mind-boggling it is though their style of playing is not very similar.

Pretty stoked for the new one. Think it'll be better than Colored Sands.
